The JL Industries Clear Vu 1515F25 is a recessed fire extinguisher cabinet with a clear acrylic bubble in place of a framed door, made in the USA. The full-view dome keeps the extinguisher in plain sight, which is the whole idea of the bubble cabinet: nothing to read, nothing to open to check the gauge. The 3/8 in flat square trim sits nearly flush with the wall and the bubble projects just 2-1/2 in, keeping the cabinet within the ADA 4 in projection limit. The bubble is on a continuous hinge that opens 170 degrees, with a pull handle and roller catch.

Extinguisher compatibility
The tub is a shallow 4 in deep with the bubble projecting 2-1/2 in in front of it, and JL requires the extinguisher to hang from a J-hook mounted to the back of the tub. JL rates this size for its standard 2.5 to 10 lb dry-chemical extinguishers, plus clean-agent units to 5 lb and 5 lb CO2. Because the depth budget is tighter than a standard cabinet, confirm your extinguisher's cylinder diameter against the tub depth and bubble projection before ordering; a wide-body unit that fits a 6 in tub may not fit here. See our Fire Extinguisher Cabinet Selection Guide for how depth drives fit.
Placement and mounting height follow the NFPA 10 requirements.
Model cross-reference
The Clear Vu series runs the same bubble in other configurations: 1516 (1-1/2 in square semi-recessed) and 1517 (3 in rolled semi-recessed) share this tub and wall opening; the 2500 series is a larger 14 in × 30 in tub; and a red or bronze bubble, stainless or aluminum builds, a Saf-T-Lok version, and a fire-rated build are factory options.
