This Dentec Safety Specialists Diskit P100 filter assembly is rated for oil and non-oil particulate aerosols. Dentec lists it for silica dust, lead dust and fumes, brake dust, exotic welding, glass fibers, and asbestos, with the note that asbestos removal carries its own limits under OSHA 1910.1001. Comes as a case of 50 pairs. Dentec lists it as USA made, and their respirator plant is in Lenexa, Kansas.

NIOSH approves whole respirators, not loose parts. This one is covered under NIOSH 84A-2562 in the facepiece and setup that approval names. Put it on something the label does not list and the respirator you are wearing is no longer approved. The protection factor belongs to the complete respirator too, not to this part by itself.

Anywhere respirators are required, OSHA 1910.134 wants a written program behind them: medical evaluation, fit testing, training. Particulate filters sit under a different part of that standard than gas and vapor cartridges, with no change schedule to build. You swap them on the manufacturer's instructions and on condition, so when one is damaged, dirty, or getting hard to breathe through. The NIOSH approval label has to stay on the filter and stay readable. The rest of the line is under respirator cartridges and filters.
