The V40628EBCD48 is a 4-foot rim exit device that mounts on the interior side of doors in assembly, educational, and high-occupancy buildings where IBC panic hardware requirements mandate single-motion egress. This Detex V40 Series device provides primary egress control while the integrated electric alarm and cylinder dogging function allow authorized personnel to monitor and temporarily disable the alarm for maintenance access.
The device features a stainless steel 3/4" deadlocking Pullman latchbolt with heavy-duty ribbed aluminum rail construction. The patented mounting plate and strike locator system eliminates paper templates and reduces door prep time. The modular design accepts various outside trim configurations and withstands over 1400 pounds of static pull force.
