The V40W71148 is a 48-inch weatherized rim exit device that mounts on the interior surface of exterior doors exposed to weather conditions. This Detex Grade 1 panic hardware provides secure egress for single and double doors. The weatherized construction and black aluminum finish handle outdoor environments on loading docks, emergency exits, and perimeter doors.
The device features a stainless steel 3/4" deadlocking Pullman-type latchbolt and heavy-duty ribbed aluminum rail that withstands over 1400 pounds of static pull force. The patented mounting plate and strike locator system eliminates paper templates and reduces installation time. Field sizeable design fits most door widths with minimal prep work.
