The JL Industries Ambassador 1017V10 is a semi-recessed steel fire extinguisher cabinet for a 10 lb extinguisher, made in the USA. This is the 3 in rolled-trim version of JL's most specified cabinet line: the tub recesses into the wall and the rolled trim returns to the wall face in a smooth curve, staying within the ADA 4 in projection limit. The vertical-duo clear acrylic door has a continuous hinge that opens 180 degrees and a zinc-plated pull handle with roller catch. For a fire-resistance-rated wall you need the fire-rated 1017V10FX2 instead.

Extinguisher compatibility
JL's fit matrix rates this tub for standard 2.5 to 10 lb dry-chemical extinguishers, with wider-bodied clean-agent units to 5 lb and 5 lb CO2. Fit is set by the extinguisher's cylinder diameter against this cabinet's 6 in interior (tub) depth, not by weight; a standard 10 lb dry-chemical unit fits, while a wide-body "short" 10 lb or a 20 lb unit is too deep and needs a larger cabinet.
